Playthrough and rollover: read the words beside the counter
Playthrough and rollover are terms casinos use for betting-volume conditions. They often refer to wagering requirements, but the label alone does not tell you which money is multiplied or which bets count. Read the sentence containing the term and the offer's definition.
What the wording is naming
| Wording | The question it raises |
|---|---|
| 20x playthrough | Twenty times which amount: the bonus, deposit or both? |
| Playthrough remaining | How much eligible betting volume still needs to be credited? |
| Deposit rollover | What turnover condition applies to the deposited money? |
| Rollover completed | Has this volume condition cleared, and which other offer conditions remain? |
Two operators can use different words for a similar condition
BetMGM's bonus explanation uses playthrough alongside wagering requirements. Stake's deposit-bonus policy uses rollover for a multiplier applied to the deposit plus bonus. Those usages help explain the vocabulary; they do not make every offer's calculation identical.
For an illustrative $50 bonus, 20x on the bonus alone names $1,000 of eligible stakes. If the rule instead applies 20x to a $50 deposit plus that $50 bonus, it names $2,000. The decisive words are what follows 20x. The wagering-requirements entry works through the target and the accompanying conditions.
Your balance and progress are separate numbers
Ask what moves this counter
Find whether progress uses placed or settled bets, the contribution rate and excluded games. If the rule requires settlement, a pending bet has not yet supplied that qualifying volume. A transaction labelled deposit is not itself a bet.
If the account shows 200 remaining without a unit or explanation, ask whether that means eligible stake volume, currency or another measure. Keep the answer with the offer terms. The term rollover does not by itself explain what withdrawing early or cancelling the offer will remove.
